For a solid few months (read: all winter), Cult Gaia’s Nano rhinestone bag was hanging on the elbow of everyInfluencer andInstagram starlet. It became a mainstayIn OOTDs and GRWMs on TikTok FYPs everywhere (Did you get all that?). As a self diagnosed frugal shopper, especially whenIt comes toIt bags that tend to come and go,IInitially balked at the $428 price tag and couldn’t help but wonder, what’s so great aboutIt?
And now that we know what will be on our packing lists, go on tell us your dream lineup! The fans are waiting. (I am fans.) MD: As you well knowI’m a Hairball, a.k.a. a Harry Styles fan, so he’s a must.I’ll shoot for the stars and say Beyoncé because of Renaissance; Hozier and Bad Bunny also get spots on the main stage.I could go on, butI thinkI’ve probably maxed out my theoretical budget by now anyway. What about you? Who’s making the cut? DC: Honestly,I’m already waiting at the front of the field with you at Harry’s House, er, field. But after him,I can justImagine how fun a Lizzo show would be all the TikTokers would be doing their routines to “It’s About Damn Time.”I’m also a huge fan of Giveon, andI think a sweet summer evening ballad would be just whatI need to cool down a bit. And finally, Blackpink because that K pop bandIs undoubtedly going to put on a show. Now let’s get our flights booked, shall we? Dale Arden ChongIs the Senior Fashion Commerce Editor at ELLE.com. There are bag people, and there are...not bag people. Admittedly,I’m not much of a bag girl. AlthoughI can admire a well designed purse, handbags mostly serve meIn functional ways.I do,In fact, use the same backpack from The North Face thatI usedIn college as my current work bag. As such,I’m hard toImpress whenIt comes to bags, becauseI am quick to debunk them as unnecessary. Let me be the first to say that this Cult Gaia bag surprised me.ItIs a beautiful accessory. AvailableIn two sizes and a lengthy list of colors,It makes for a great occasion bag. The first thingI noticed was thatIt hangs nicely. Unstructured garments or bags can be tricky you know howItIs. A cowl neck top drapes so differently on the hanger thanIt does on your torso. WhenIt comes to bags without form,It might look great when empty, but less great whenIn use.I feared this rhinestone bag, which looks stunning without any contents, would look weird and ugly onceI filledIt. But to my delight,It did no such thing.
